How does Nirby help with soil testing?

What are sampling zones and why use them?
Parts of a field with similar conditions. Sampling by zone rather than an arbitrary grid makes results describe real differences in the field, which the fertiliser plan can then use.
How are sampling zones drawn in Nirby?
From the field variability visible in satellite images across several seasons, so they match areas that consistently yield better or worse.
Which soil parameters can be mapped?
Nirby builds nutrient maps from lab results, including phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and soil pH, for every zone of the field.
Does Nirby take soil samples?
No. Nirby places zones and points, guides you to them and processes the results. You or a contractor take the samples and a lab analyses them.
How often should soil be tested?
Nutrient testing is usually done every few years and pH more often, depending on the soil and production. Earlier results stay in the field history in Nirby.
What happens with soil test results?
They go into the fertiliser plan, from which Nirby prepares zone recommendations and a variable-rate (VRA) map for the machine terminal.
